Running for Louisiana Senate, District 5
Karen Carter-Peterson is a Democratic candidate running for re-election to the Louisiana State Senate, District 5. If re-elected, her top priorities will be increasing funding for mental health care professionals in schools, and expanding access to mental health facilities. She also wants the Legislature to stop giving exemptions and rebates to certain industries, and instead use that money for criminal justice reform and higher education.
